In short
- Book Al Boraq early: advance tickets are cheaper and booking opens 3 months before departure.
- In Rabat, Al Boraq stops at Rabat Agdal station, not at Rabat Ville.
- Keep cash in dirhams for motorway tolls. Every toll station takes cash, but card payment is not available everywhere.
- Before you travel, check that your green card shows Morocco (MA). If it does not, buy border insurance at the border post on arrival.
- Pay a traffic fine within 24 hours and it is lower: 400 dirhams instead of 700 for a first-class offence.
- In a taxi, agree the fare first or check that the meter is running.
